Grodno prenatal doctors share experience with colleagues from Kazakhstan
The Grodno Regional Prenatal Center is part of the programs of international cooperation in healthcare between Belarus and Kazakhstan, BelTA learnt from the chief doctor of the center Viktor Liskovich. The Grodno center was first invited to exchange experience with Kazakh colleagues in 2010. After the first seminars Kazakh colleagues praised the level of qualifications of Grodno specialists. An agreement was signed with the Grodno prenatal center, under which visits of Belarusian doctors and paramedical workers to Kazakhstan have become regular.
Last year Grodno doctors, midwives, nursing staff gave seminars in five cities of Kazakhstan. The delegations held a series of master classes and seminars sharing experience with Kazakh counterparts in assistance for pregnant women and newborn children, practical knowledge regarding diagnosing and treatment of obstetrical pathologies, neonatal intensive care, nursing care.
Kazakhstan sent thank you letters to the Grodno Regional Prenatal Center praising the high level of qualifications of Belarusian professionals. According to Viktor Liskovich, in 2012 the Grodno center will continue cooperation with prenatal establishments of Kazakhstan. The Grodno Regional Prenatal Center is a III level obstetric health care institution. The center provides highly skilled outpatient and inpatient assistance to families, mothers-to-be, newborns and people with gynecological problems.
The center was opened in 2007 at the oblast maternity house and became the first oblast prenatal center in the country. The medical institution includes 14 inpatient units, an advisory unit Marriage and Family, a laboratory and the chemist’s shop.
